Detail Itinerary
NEGOMBO
Day 01
- Pickup from Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to a hotel in Negombo to rest overnight
NEGOMBO – POLONNARUWA –SIGIRIYA
Day 02
- After breakfast leave to Polonnaruwa. Approximately 4 hour drive
- Visit the ruins of Ancient Ceylon - the UNESCO World Heritage City of Polonnaruwa.
- Then proceed to Sigiriya for overnight stay.
SIGIRIYA
Day 03
- After breakfast visit the rock fortress of Sigiriya - a 5th Century "Fortress in the Sky", a UNESCO world heritage.
- In the afternoon we will do a village safari and cook a Sri Lankan meal.
- Overnight stay at Sigiriya.
SIGIRIYA – KANDY
Day 04
- After breakfast leave to Kandy. Approximately 2 hour drive
- On the way visit one of the most unusual temples buried in a maze - the UNESCO Golden Cave Temple in Dambulla.
- In Kandy you will be getting a city tour including a round tour around the Kandy lake and the famous temple of Tooth.
- Overnight stay at Kandy.
KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA – ELLA
Day 05
- Early morning leave to Nuwara Eliya. Approximately 2 hour drive
- On the way visit a working tea factory and the famous Ramboda falls.
- After lunch leave to Ella on a train. Approximately 3 hour train ride.
- Overnight at Ella.
ELLA – UDAWALAWE – GALLE
Day 06
- An early morning hike to Ella rock.
- Then proceed to Udawalawe for a jeep safari. Approximately 1.5 hour drive.
- After the safari proceed to Galle. Approximately 4 hour drive.
- Overnight stay at Galle.
GALLE – AIRPORT
Day 07
- Transfer to the airport. Approximately 2.5 hour drive
