After breakfast leave to visit the Cultural Triangle. En-route visit Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela and Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. Rest of the day at leisure.
Dambulla Rock Cave Temple.
This rock cave temple is a must for any tourist who visits Sri Lanka. A history, which dates back to the 1st centaury BC and awarded the first prize for the best photograph at the World Tourism Organization.
Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage:
An orphanage, which was built to take care of elephants. This orphanage is situated in the Kegalle district. At the moment there are approx 60 Elephants in this orphanage.

After breakfast visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Proceed for Polonnaruwa and visit Polonnaruwa Cultural sites.
Sigiriya
This rock of the 5th century AD was a monastery before King Kasyapa built his kingdom. Better known, as the “Lion Rock” is a Citadel rising up to 560ft from the surrounding jungle. The popular frescoes of the maidens of heaven are found in the caves of this rock.
Polonnaruwa:
This capital city was the most popular in the history of Sri Lanka. Popular for its agriculture, Irrigation Systems and its architecture. Polonnaruwa is situated approx 240km from Colombo.
Dinner & overnight stay at Girithale
After breakfast leave for Kandy. En route visit a spice garden. After lunch visit the Kandy temple and observe a cultural dance in the evening.

Kandy: (1815-1948)
The last and most popular kingdom in the history of Sri Lanka. The British army captured Kandy in 1815 and ruled for almost 133years before they gave independence to Sri Lanka in 1948. It is from this year that Colombo was made the Capital of Sri Lanka. Kandy was also known as Senkadagala.
After breakfast visit the Peradeniya gardens. Optional lunch in Kandy. After lunch visit the Kandy temple.

After breakfast visit St benedicts Monastry & Dova temple.
“Adisham Bungalow, a 19th century British period building, was modelled on Leeds Castle in Kent, England. It was the country house of Sir Thomas Villiers, a distinguished British resident in Sri Lanka in the early 20th century. It is now a Benedictine retreat, adjoining the Thangamale Bird Sanctuary. The Bungalow is 3km away from Haputale.”

After breakfast leave for Yala. Optional lunch at Tissamaharama. After lunch proceed to visit Yala national park.

Yala National Park:
The most popular national park in Sri Lanka. Established in 1938 with a land area of approx 121000 ha. This Park is situated between Hambantota and Monaragala districts at the southern most point of Sri Lanka. It is home for almost all the animals and birds that are found in Sri Lanka.
After breakfast leave to Wadduwa. En-route you will visit the Galle fort, a mask factory and a Turtle hatchery.
