Detailed Itinerary

Day  1- Airport / Colombo

Arrival and Transfer to hotel in Colombo. Dinner and overnight stay in Colombo

Day  2 - Colombo/ Pinnawela

After beakfast leave for Pinnawela. En route visit the Salgala hermitage located in dense jungles to view monks at meditation. Leave for Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage.Dinner and overnight stay at Pinnawela.

Day  3 - Pinnawela / Pollonnaruwa / Girithale

Breakfast at the hotel and leave for Polonnaruwa via Kurunegala, Visit the cultural sites at Polonnaruwa. Dinner and overnight stay at Giritale.

Day  4 - Girithale / Dambulla / Kandy

After breakfast visit the 5th-century Sigiriya rock fortress, 1st-century BC Dambulla cave temple, and a spice garden Evening watch a performance by traditional Kandyan dancers. Dinner and overnight stay at Kandy.

Day  5 - Kandy / Bandarawela

After breakfast transfer to Kandy railway station and travel by train to Bandarawela. At Bandarawela you will be taken on a city tour and transferred to a hotel to relax. Dinner overnight stay at Bandarawela.

Day  6 - Bandarawela / Haputale

After early breakfast hike on the reverse slope of Horton Plains which takes you through misty forests and tea plantations etc. Dinner and overnight stay at Haputale or similar

Day  7 - Haputale/ Belihul oya

Breakfast at hotel hike to Belihuloya through villages, paddy fields, and scrub jungles passing the Bambarakanda water falls, which is the highest seasonal waterfall in Sri Lanka. Dinner and overnight stay at Belihuloya.

Day  8 - Belihul oya / Uda Walwe

Leave to visit Udawalawe National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at Udawalawe.

Day  9 - Uda Walwe / Ratnapura

Leave after breakfast for Ratnapura. In Ratnapura you will visit and learn about the gem mining industry. Dinner and overnight stay at Ratnapura.

Day  10 - Ratnapura / Kitulgala

After breakfast leave to Kitulgala for white water Rafting.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kitulgala

Day  11, 12 & 13 - Kitulgala / Beruwala

Day at your leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Beruwala.

Day  14 - Beruwala / Airport

Transfer to the airport on time for departure
