"Beach Hut"

This simple yet luxury villa is ideal for a honeymoon couple although there is an additional room for kids. The villa is built to enjoy the sea breeze and natural air and hence no air-conditioning.

Dining and common areas

The beach hut due to its fully open style gives you plenty of sitting area around the house and all around views of the ocean. Simply relax on a sofa in the verandah with views of the ocean, the garden and the pool or take a dip in the pool. The benches in the garden overlooking the sea is a must for a beach house.

Please be the mistress / master of your own kitchen, the staff are not employed for their cooking skills. Should you wish a chef can be arranged separately. There are fresh markets daily nearby and a small supermarket in Galle for western items.
You can dine really anywhere you please. The table can be set for you to dine indoors or out doors overlooking the pool and the ocean.

Things to see and do

The Beach Hut is about 10 mins from the historic town of Galle containing two of Sri Lankan's famous sites. The World Heritage 300 year old Galle Fort largely built by the Dutch, and the Galle International Cricket Pitch. The Fort, one of the largest living Forts in the world, is a fascinating look at how life can be in Sri Lanka. A Buddhist Temple; a Mosque housed in a converted Church; an Anglican Church; and a Dutch Reform Church all lying within a bell, or chant, of each other proving that peace is the desired and easily possible course for this island. The Muslim community have passed their jewellery manufacturing skills from generation to generation and the Fort, and indeed the whole of Galle, contains an abundance of Gem stores that like their 'tailor' cousins of HK will help you select, design, and manufacture a suitable 'rock' for your finger in a matter of days.

Several other shops inside Fort ranging from the magical asian fusion fashion world of Mimimango to the books of Barefoot and interior of Elephant Walk amongst them ensure you will have ample opportunity to shop. Restaurants too have evolved in the Fort and you will find details of the best in the villa on your arrival. When an international cricket match is being played the Fort Ramparts provide you with as close to a bird's eye view as possible, played against a backdrop of tropical scenery. Several scuba diving schools in the area will take you to wrecks and reefs and there are fabulous temples amidst paddy fields.
