Tintagel Hotel
Style & Simplicity….
The Tintagel – a Presidential Mansion besieged by a rich legacy, was once home to one of Sri Lanka’s most politically affluent family, The Bandaranayke Dynasty.
Located in the heart of Colombo, Tintagel is now transformed into a chic boutique hotel offering ten exclusive suites built with all modern comforts and luxury, combining Style & Simplicity, ideally to match the opulence of the hotel’s flamboyant history.
Shanth Fernando, a Sri Lankan lifestyle designer and entrepreneur is the proud owner of this stylish home – Tintagel, Colombo. He started his venture building his first retail store called “The Paradise Road” and later expanding to build “The Paradise Road Studio House” both made famous for its unique one of a kind home ware created by local craftsmen. These two stores are also homed in old British colonial homes.
The Paradise Road, Tintagel Hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka, also originally being a colonial home still retains its vintage persona displaying high ceilings, intricately built arches, towering stiff columns and deep colored wood flooring, seamlessly fusing into the simple bare colors of the mansion creating genuine panache to the structure.
The Alfresco – styled restaurant at the courtyard truly is breath taking at night. Illuminant in candle light the white woven armchairs and sparkling concrete table tops create a mythical touch to the whole dining experience.
The chic indoor restaurant at the Tintagel, offers its guest a fine international cuisine. Black leather upholstered chairs and a lacquered table in white linen table ware is an enigmatic atmosphere.
The Red Bar, the social hotspot of the hotel where not only in-house guests get to unwind but local residents too flock in numbers to this famous retreat.
