ItineraryMet on arrival from your flight or picked up from Colombo hotel where you will be
taken to the Kitulgala, where you could challenge yourself to some whitewater rafting down the Kelani River. The Kelani river graded 2/3 rafting site stretches for six kilometres with seven exciting rapids.
Alternately you could visit the Beli Lena caves. This is a famous cave where
the 12,000 year old skeletal remains of the Balangoda Man
(Homo sapiens Balangodensis) were found. Also found here are the waste parts of the food consumed by them.
Over night will be at a hotel in Kitulgala.
Head toward the cool mountain of Hatton and then on to the golden valley of Bogawanthalawa where you will end up at the picturesque tea gardens after a winding drive amongst the hills. Overnight will be in a cabin/ hotel in the Bogawantalawa valley.
Today you could explore the beautiful countryside by yourself or simply relax in this resort tucked away at an altitude of 5470 feet above sea level.

Leave the world of tea gardens to the more temperate climate of Belihul Oya/ Haldummulla. You will notice the sudden changes in vegetation and climate within a matter of minutes as you descend to lower altitudes. Overnight in a hotel at Belihul Oya/ Haldummulla.
Trek to Sri Lanka’s highest water falls, the Bambarakande. You can have a picnic lunch close to the falls. Return to a hotel at Belihul Oya/ Haldummulla for dinner and overnight.
Visit the Diyaluma waterfalls after a leisurely breakfast. Return either via Wellawaya or Poonagala.
Dinner and overnight will be at Bandarawela.
Take the morning train to Ohiya. From the Ohiya station, walk to Pilkington point and proceed through the Udaweriya tea estate to Haldummulla. This is an increasingly challenging walk through tea plantations, mountain slopes and thick jungle.
Spend the rest of the evening, dinner and overnight at Bandarawela.
Proceed to the Hill station of Nuwara Eliya. Lunch will be at a picturesque restaurant close to the Ramboda falls. You will visit the Hakgala Garden en-route.

Leave for the Hill Capital of Kandy after breakfast. Nestled in a valley 1600 feet above sea level, surrounded by mountains & virtually encircled by the scenic Mahaweli river; Kandy is one of the most beautiful cities in Sri Lanka. You will be entertained to a cultural show in the evening, after visiting the famous Kandy temple and Botanical Gardens in the afternoon.

Today you will be visiting the Knuckles mountain range. The winding roads will lead you through spectacular mountain scenery. You will arrive at the mountain cottage/ lodge tucked away in a remote village, where you will spend the night.
After breakfast, you will leave for a trek through forest trails to “Corbett’s Gap”, a climb of 500 meters.
Its name describes its outline. The Knuckles Range consists of the Knuckles massif,
the Knuckles range and the Knuckles peaks. The Knuckles massif is about 90 square miles in extent and is a detached block of the central highlands separated from the main highlands by the Dumbara Valley.
Corbett’s Gap – is a vast split in the range of hills, through which on a clear day an amazing view is possible.
Dinner & overnight stay will be at a cottage/ lodge in Knuckles.
Trek to Gerandi Ella falls. You will pass little streams, plateaus and climb over mountains. A picnic breakfast could be had en-route. The vehicle will meet you half way on your return journey, and take you to Kandy.
Dinner and overnight will be at a hotel in Kandy.
You will be taken to either a Colombo hotel or the Airport today
