“Tourism Opens Doors for Women” themed World Tourism Day 2007, will be celebrated on September 27th, in Bentota, a coastal town famous for its golden sandy beaches, blue skies and clear waters. Sri Lanka Tourism made a promotional presentation to representatives of 64 top professional bodies in Colombo, at the Organization of Professional Association’s Executive Committee meeting on July 19th, at which the thought provoking campaign slogan “Men don’t get it” was introduced to a predominantly stiff lipped male assembly. Chairman, Sri Lanka Tourism, Renton de Alwis wound up his presentation to this august assembly, with “Some men do!” amidst cheerful applause by a delighted audience.

Each professional body is wooed to invite women colleagues for pow-wow type gatherings during September /October 2007, on a very special tour package on offer.
